Privacy policy

ReVibe is an AI music app at app.reviberocks.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with and your rights. "We" means ReVibe, the controller of your personal data. Questions: hello@reviberocks.com.
What we collect

Our lawful bases are: performing our contract with you (making and storing your music, accounts, purchases), our legitimate interests (security, moderation, fixing bugs, understanding how people find us), and legal obligation (financial records).
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We use these service providers, who process it on our behalf:

Things you make public, or share with people, are visible to them — including your username and picture. Shared and public tracks can be played by anyone with the link.
Where your data is stored
Our database and files are held by Google in the United States, and some providers above process data outside the UK. Where data leaves the UK we rely on the UK's adequacy regulations or the standard contractual safeguards those providers offer.
How long we keep it
- Your account and music: for as long as you have an account.
- Something you delete: removed from the app straight away and from our live storage within 7 days.
- Backups: database backups are kept for 14 weeks and account backups for 14 weeks. Backup copies of music files and pictures are removed 30 days after the original is deleted.
- Uploaded recordings used to make a track: deleted automatically after a short period.
- Purchase records: as long as the law requires (usually 6 years).
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to move it to another service. Email hello@reviberocks.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and browser storage
We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. The app stores a few things in your browser to work: your sign-in, your settings (for example radio filters and visualiser style), and the random device ID used for the visit statistics above. You can clear these at any time in your browser settings.
Children
ReVibe is for people aged 13 and over. Explicit lyrics are only available to people aged 16 and over.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
